AIMS Technology & Innovation Conference
Share |

AIMS traditionally offers a two-day conference for Educational Technology, Information Technology and Library Professionals. This event highlights the best of what independent school technology, innovation and library departments are doing to help students learn and teachers teach.

The AIMS Technology (and Innovation!) Conference is back after a one-year hiatus. We've kept what you liked (this side of the Bay Bridge, lower cost, content-focused two-day format) and expanded based on the success of our Innovation Conference last year. We'll be Baltimore-based this year, on December 3rd and 4th at the Mt. Washington Conference Center--Johns Hopkins University, within easy walking distance to the Mt. Washington Tavern, Nickel Taphouse and Chiyo Sushi. Our theme will be Exponential Technologies and The Future of Learning.

Our keynote speaker will be Christian Talbot, founder of Basecamp School. He will be speaking on our theme, especially how Exponential Technologies--virtual reality, AI, big data--are and will affect the future of education and learning. Christian founded Basecamp after completing five years as Head of School at Malvern Preparatory School (PA), preceded by fourteen years as an English teacher at Regis High School (NY). He has shared his experiences in change management, strategic planning, and social entrepreneurship at conferences such as NAIS, CASE-NAIS, TABS-NAIS, Tempus, and Traverse.
