Overview of Offerings



UnitedHealthcare and EBS have partnered together to offer our schools a variety of Medical plan options. With a national network of over 659,000 physicians and health care professionals, including 12,000 providers and 50 facilities in Maryland alone, our plan participants have the freedom to work with the physicians they choose.
UnitedHealthcare’s commitment to wellness includes access to valuable information and resources to help our membership positively impact their health as well as our bottom line. Innovative tools and services available through provide cutting edge plan management resources for both our members and plan administrators.

Kaiser Permanente

The highly coordinated Kaiser Permanente medical care program allows for great cost control. Their evidence-based medical guidelines, e-prescribing and electronic medical record all work collaboratively to keep costs lower while delivering efficient quality care. Kaiser’s innovative and easily integrated wellness tools are available to all schools.



The MetLife Dental Plan offers our members freedom of choice to visit any dentist, whether they are in the MetLife network or not. Educational tools and resources that help members and their dentists make informed choices demonstrate MetLife’s commitment to our member’s oral health. Less paperwork, less worries and more service with easy access to pretreatment estimates, real-time claims processing and 24-hour customer service by phone, fax or online.


DentaQuest offers our members a comprehensive dental plan at an affordable price. DentaQuest’s Access ePPO Plan keeps cost low by limiting benefits specifically to dentists who participate in DentaQuests’ exclusive Access network. This strong local network of dentists offers members a variety of providers as well as no co-payments and enhanced coverage for preventive services. Comprehensive coverage for both minor and major restorative services is also provided, with co-payments outlined in the Member Fee schedule so there are no surprises.

Employee Assistance (EAP)

United Behavioral Health

United Behavioral Health (UBH) benefits help our school employees take an active role in their health care. When members call United Behavioral Health for assistance, they speak directly to a mental health benefits specialist who can answer questions related to their behavioral health benefits. Working in strict confidence, trained professionals listen to each person carefully and match specific needs with the right resources to address them. 

Vision Plan: 

Davis Vision

The Davis Vision plan provides comprehensive vision care at a discounted rate. Benefit highlights include:

  • Eye exam, lenses and frames (or contact lenses) every 12 months
  • Extensive provider network
  • Freedom of choice in eyewear selection, with generous price allowances on non-covered frames

Flexible Spending Account: 

Hirsch Financial Services

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) allow you to reduce your taxable income by setting aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible health care and dependent care expenses.

Administrative services include the following:

  • Each school selects their own plan design and maximums

  • The FSA debit card is available as an option

  • Online access to account information

Life and Disability:

Lincoln Financial Services

Educators Benefit Services has partnered with Lincoln Financial Group to offer Life, AD&D and Disability benefits for our member schools at premium rates typically available only to very large organizations. Some of the highlights of the program include:

  •  Unique plan design options for each individual school
  • Group rates are discounted to reflect our group size of over 2,000 employees
  • Rates are guaranteed for two or three years depending on plan design and coverage
  • Voluntary benefits are also available
