In this half day program, attendees will experience a day in the life of The Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation (ELI) Lab @TheWoodsAcademy. The ELI Lab infuses popular STEAM concepts (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math) with a liberal arts curriculum, preparing children for the work they will perform in high school, higher education, and beyond. It is a program and space for Kindergarten through Grade 8 Woods students and students from our greater community to apply critical 21st century skills in real-world situations. They learn how to use complex technology, express themselves, solve problems, and create opportunities as innovators, leaders, and entrepreneurs.

Attendees will participate in a 5th Grade Business School session focused on entrepreneurship and investment. In addition, time will be spent learning about the goals of The ELI Lab from one of the program’s architects Joe Powers, The Woods Academy Head of School. Attendees will discover how the Lab’s Mission – Growing tomorrow’s ethical, entrepreneurial and innovative leaders, today – is brought to life in the daily curriculum at The Woods as well as through summer programs. Time will be provided for questions and answers.
