Discover meaningful connections between the Walters Art Museum and your Language Arts curricula. Walters’ educators will guide you through a series of in-depth activities that integrate visual and language arts. After you explore the museum in small  groups and participate in writing and gallery activities, you will leave with the confidence to lead similar lessons with your students. Ideal for teachers of all grades and disciplines, you will use the skills of inference, analysis, collaboration, creativity, sequencing, and communication. Applicable Grades: K-12.

Location Details: Park at Walter Museum's Centre Street Lot, enter from Cathedral Street

Presenters: Amanda Kodeck; Brittany Powell, Kristen Mewshaw, Taryn Williams, Walters Art Museum

Amanda Kodeck, Assistant Director of Education at Walters Art Museum, oversees all of the museum’s K-12 programming. This includes partnership development with local and statewide school systems, curriculum writing, and content development for field trips, teacher training, and all web-based teacher resources. She holds an MA in Art History from the George Washington University and an MS in Education, Museum Leadership from Bank Street College.
