The Executive Functions are critical to the success of our students, from project planning, organization, attention, and memory, to transitions, emotions, and social cues. This session will provide a brief overview of what the Executive Functions are and also provide applicable strategies for general and special education teachers to use with students with Executive Function challenges. Applicable Grades: K-12.

Presenters: Erin Gilbert; Katy Bosserman, Highlands School

Erin Gilbert has worked as a teacher leader in many school settings. She leads dynamic projects as the Director of Outreach and Tutoring at The Highlands School in Bel Air, Maryland. Katy Bosserman has 22 years of teaching experience. Katy is Special Education Advocate at Creative Learning Experiences where she specializes in helping families to successfully advocate for their child with special needs.
