Presentation includes Hands Around the Library: Protecting Egypt’s Treasured Books, by Karen Leggett Abouraya and Susan L. Roth ( Supplies and book will be included as an instructional part of the program.

Karen Leggett Abouraya is an award-winning print and broadcast journalist in Washington, D.C., whose reviews of children's literature and other articles have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, Voice of America, International Educator magazine and more. Abouraya is a past president of the Children’s Book Guild of Washington, D.C. She has lived and traveled widely overseas with her Egyptian husband and their two children.
