Participants will learn about engaging, high-impact pedagogies that can be implemented throughout the school year for writing instruction. Topics will focus on improving students’ writing in both narrative and expository genres as well as specific lessons based on best practices.


Participants will leave with a complex understanding of the theory and research behind key practices across digital and face-to-face contexts as well as structures and processes to support a year-long writing program that is both engaging and impactful.

Jennifer Zwillenberg holds a Doctor of Education in Reading, Writing, and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Education from Loyola University as a Reading Specialist, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins in Secondary English.


Dr. Zwillenberg also has eight years of classroom teaching experience as well as over ten years of providing professional development for educators, with a focus on coaching elementary school teachers in reading development and literacy across the content areas.
