THIS EVENT IS FOR THOSE REGISTERING AS SCHOOL COHORTS ONLY

Only one registration per school is needed. 

 (Individuals should register for the "open" sessions offered.) 

 

The 20-hour program* will provide opportunities for both synchronous and asynchronous learning within a cohort of peers at your school.  Breakout groups will allow for discussion within divisions.  

 

*The program will be four hours per day - 2 hours synchronous (10-12) and 2 hours asynchronous.

 

The content presented will include:  

  • best practices in distance learning
  • types of learner interaction
  • social emotional learning needs
  • equity
  • assessment in the virtual world 
  • tools for engagement

 

Some of the questions to be addressed during the week include:

:

  • What are the core tenets of your school, and how might these translate to distance learning?
  • What are your students’ social-emotional needs during distance learning and how might you best support and encourage them?
  • What aspects of digital citizenship are in place at your school?
  • What expectations for students and teachers do you have during distance learning? · How much is too much? How much is right?
  • How are equity and accessibility issues assisting or hindering the distance learning process?
  • What can we do for students and teachers that are struggling?
  • What should a tool consist of to be considered essential to engagement?
  • How can distance learning be more than a digital form of the traditional classroom? What advantages does distance learning have?
  • And more!

Registration information

  

REGISTER EARLY!   

 

Schools should register using their AIMS school login.  There will be only one registration needed for each school group.  

 

Schools can register for either a

  • 25 seat cohort > cost for a 25-seat cohort will be $3000 per school (one instructor)
  • 50 seat cohort > cost for a 50-seat cohort (maximum size) will be $5000 per school (two instructors)

You will make this choice on the registration form as well as the week you are requesting for your school.

Please choose "bill to school" during registration; the school will be invoiced after the session concludes. 

 

Schools should plan carefully as there will be no refunds once registration is processed as the cohort will be planned (and instructors contracted) specifically for your school needs.
