Category: Hands-on

Building off of the momentum of previous years, this February 3-7, schools across the country will participate in Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action.  Last year, Black Lives Matter at School held its second national week of action in over 30 cities across the country. During the nationally-organized week, thousands of educators around the U.S. wore Black Lives Matter shirts to school and taught lessons about the guiding principles of the Black Lives Matter Global Network, structural racism, intersectional black identities, black history, and anti-racist social movements.

In this workshop, educators will have the opportunity to browse materials and lessons related to the BLM at School Week of Action and participate in mini-workshops and table discussions. Participants will walk away with a plan for how to bring BLM at School Week to their schools.
