Recent research and collective experience have demonstrated the impact culture has on all areas of functioning, performance, and outcomes for organizations. We know that parent culture, student culture, and faculty & staff culture all influence many factors in our schools. Many people think that only leaders and other administrators can impact culture when, in fact, everyone has the ability to influence the culture and climate of an organization.

In this workshop Brooke Carroll and Jen Cort (both of whom are educators, clinicians, and consultants) will guide teachers and staff to:

  • understand the elements of culture and climate that impact schools
  • clarify your own and your school’s values
  • identify those areas that need to be addressed at your school
  • learn ways you can influence shifts in aspects of culture and climate in your school
  • establish connections and networks with others
  • develop a plan for change at your school.

Teachers and staff will leave this workshop with tools and strategies for addressing specific elements of culture and climate in their schools and will feel confident that they can impact change.
