AIMS is excited to announce the 2019/20 Beginning Teacher Seminar Series.  This program will provide new teachers with the opportunity to meet as a cohort over the course of the 2019-2020 academic year.  The school must assign a mentor to each participating teacher. On the first date of the program, there will be an optional mentorship training program for schools that wish for a brush-up training for their assigned mentor(s). You can sign up for that here.

Topics for the program will include:

·         Establishing expectations and routines (classroom management)

·         Building relationships with student and families

·         Self-care

·         Keeping students engaged

·         Reflective teaching

Click here for detailed information on the topics to be covered in this program.

** Beginning Teachers are defined as having three years of experience or less as a teacher, as well as anyone new to independent schools.

Participants will meet five times throughout the year; the first and last meeting being full-day retreats (September 26 is kickoff retreat day) with the three other meetings being half-day programs at member schools in the area.

Cost to AIMS members will be $750 per participant for the full-year program.

Cancellation of registration must be done by September 6TH for any refund to be provided. No refund will be processed if a participant drops up mid-year.
