The goal of Google Analytics 101 is for participants to be able to analyze web traffic data in order to make meaningful changes and gain insights into their business and audience.  Best practices will be modeled to participants, allowing them to make changes/updates to their institution's Google Accounts and receive direct support from the instructor with regards to strategies moving forward specific to their institution's points of weakness and desired outcomes. 



  • Become familiar with Google Analytics UI, and where to navigate to view certain types of web traffic data
  • Understand patterns and trends in the institution’s Google Analytics data
  • Clean up Google Analytics data for clearer + more consistent data (via filters, views, advanced search features, etc.)
  • Identify key metrics for growth goals using Google Analytics
  • Set up goals and create funnels for tracking conversions


Materials Required:

  • Google Analytics account information + logins
  • At least 30 days of traffic data gathered in Google Analytics account



  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics and web traffic concepts (time on site, bounce rate, campaigns, sessions, etc.)
  • Existing Google Analytics account with at least 30 days of data accumulated

AIMS Members: $30 (through November 25th) or $40 (After November 25th)
NON AIMS Members: $50 (through November 25th) or $60 (After November 25th)
