Making Meaningful Interactive Learning the Center of Your World Language Classroom

How do we make world language learning a meaningful part of the educational landscape in our schools? We are the best connection to global citizenship that our schools have. Let's make our classrooms reflect this through interactive, content driven and connected instruction. This workshop will help teachers learn more about themselves as instructors and will give all participants the tools and strategies to develop an instructional model that works in their individual classrooms. All participants will learn about how to connect topics to broader themes and teach using high leverage teaching practices. Attendees will participate in learning centers based on content area themes and everyone will have the chance to work together to create and plan activities for use in the classroom. A digital treasure chest of tools and activities will be shared!

Note: Registration begins at 8:30 and content presentation begins promptly at 9:00am.
