This is a hands-on workshop intended for elementary school teachers. During the workshop we will: (1) Demystify NGSS; (2) Examine examples of children engaging in science lessons aligned with NGSS; and (3) Explore science phenomena that can be used in PK-5th science curriculum. This hands-on workshop is limited to 20 participants. Please bring your lesson planning materials!

 
AIMS Members: $25 (through April 26th) or $35 (After April 26th)
NON AIMS Members: $45 (through April 26th) or $55 (After April 26th)

Presenter Info: Reizelie Barreto is currently a Lower School Science Teacher. She holds a PhD and MS in Curriculum and Instruction from The Pennsylvania State University and a BS in Physical Science from the University of Puerto Rico. Reizelie has been working in the field of education for 16 years and has experience in traditional and Montessori contexts. In addition, she has worked in urban, suburban, and rural areas and enjoys helping children argue about scientific data.
