Description:
How do your collaborations with teachers in Lower School and Middle School heighten students' awareness of social justice and inclusion issues? At Green Acres, librarian-led bias and stereotype initiatives have been part of the 3rd grade Native American unit, some Middle School science and social studies units, and 4th-8th grade book clubs. Bring your ideas and inspirations and join a conversation about collaborative activities that can enhance school curricula and programs by fostering meaningful dialogue about prejudice, discrimination, equity, and empathy. Lunch is included. Applicable Grades: K-8.

Bevin is the Head Librarian at Green Acres School and a passionate voice for diversity, equity, and justice throughout the school and beyond.
