Formative Assessment Tech Tools for Student Success


Tools to help you gauge participants’ learning and interests quickly and effectively.


•For faculty: all the tools to help you gain real-time data about your students’ learning and help you know how well students are understanding content as well as spark discussion and engagement in class.

•For staff: tools can be useful in polling during meetings, gauging interest and gathering metrics in real-time, and organizing digital information. Join us and gain take-aways for implementation

Did you know that adding formative assessments or polling in presentations increases engagement and AND dramatically reduces distractions for classroom management/presentations?! These tools will transform the classroom and develop a true pulse on your students’ needs and successes to facilitate deep learning in the classroom. Tools discussed will include Socrative, Padlet, Quizlet Live, Office and Google Forms, Cahoot, and EdPuzzle

AIMS Members: $25 (through January 4th) or $35 (After January 4th)
NON AIMS Members: $45 (through January 4th) or $55 (After January 4th)

Presenter info:  Dr. Emily Ziegler is the Director of Technology at St. Paul’s School for Girls, where she leads professional development and student programs for educational technology and manages the school’s IT team and initiatives. She received a Doctorate of Education in Instructional Technology at Towson University and Masters of Arts in Teaching from James Madison University. Before her tenure at SPSG, Emily was a classroom English teacher and professional development instructor for over seven years. Emily is passionate about utilizing cutting-edge educational technologies for effective learning, informing students of the importance of digital citizenship, and developing progressive online learning environments.
