MISSION STATEMENT & COMPANY SUMMARY
Educators Benefit Services (EBS) provides quality, affordable employee benefits and management support services to independent schools and other similar organizations. EBS strives to identify prudently managed programs which offer flexibility in design and delivery of services, excellent products or resources, responsiveness to EBS and subscriber concerns, and accurate and timely administrative services at a reasonable cost.
EBS is a wholly-owned corporate subsidiary of the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools (AIMS). Access to the EBS plans is an important membership benefit of belonging to AIMS. EBS’s primary function is to provide TPA services (including carrier relations, billing and collecting, policy issuance, certain underwriting functions, COBRA and HIPAA administration) to independent schools and other independent educational institutions. Located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, it operates out of the AIMS office and enjoys a good working relationship with its parent organization. While EBS is a for-profit corporate entity, it operates on a non-profit basis looking only to break-even and thereby passes significant cost savings on to its clients.
