AIMS Heads Conference

April 23-24, 2015
Loews Annapolis Hotel

Located in beautiful and historic downtown Annapolis, the annual Heads Conference offers busy Heads the chance to think deeply and reflectively about their schools, best practices, and topics of broad educational and cultural importance. The Conference also allows Heads to reconnect with colleagues and to take a brief but important respite to support their own growth and renewal. No matter what stage they are in their careers, Heads leave the Conference personally and professionally enriched and prepared to be even more productive as school leaders.

The Heads’ Conference this year will focus on managing the rapid pace of change in our personal lives, at our schools, and at AIMS. Rob Evans, always a compelling speaker, will talk about Leading in the New Age of Uncertainty; Ron Goldblatt will present the newly re-designed accreditation process and reflect on his experiences during a forty-year career in education and law; and Kathy Minardi, Head at Aidan Montessori, and a committee of Heads will celebrate Ron’s sixteen-year tenure as Executive Director. The Annual Business Meeting will take place on Thursday afternoon and will include approval of the AIMS operating budget and nominations to the AIMS Board of Trustees. Time to explore Annapolis and dinner at Harry Browne’s will round out a relaxing and informative day and a half of food, fellowship, and vital conversation.
