The Grade 3 team at St. Patrick’s recently revised an American states unit to incorporate an inquiry-based research process involving print and digital resources, student reflections using the Seesaw Learning Journal app, and products created using the design thinking process.

Join us for this interactive workshop where participants can examine student work, brainstorm strategies for adapting similar units to various contexts, discuss possibilities for differentiation, and examine the unit’s implementation as a case study for ways of revising existing curriculum in innovative ways and attempting to spread innovative, student-centered pedagogy throughout schools.

Many of the projects were completed using our new interim makerspace. A brief tour of this functional, well-used, and frugally-created space will be included in the workshop.
