When your students hear the word, "leader," do they think of themselves? Anyone who works in a school has the opportunity to develop leadership skills in students. From teacher to coach to mentor, we each encounter daily opportunities to help students recognize personal strengths, interests, and talents - and use them to lead others successfully. There is no single best leadership model, but research shows that there are skills and qualities that schools can nurture in students to teach them how to lead effectively. This workshop helps participants learn how to demystify the concept of leadership, teach students to recognize the leader in themselves, and create a positive leadership culture in your school. Teachers, administrators, and staff who work with children are welcome. Applicable Grades: K-12.
