Through the Maryland Historical Society's Student Research Center (SeaRCH), middle and upper school social studies can conduct primary source research using the authentic documents and images rather than photocopies or digital reproductions. See how this experience can excite students about history and convey important information list in reproductions as the Student Research Coordinator explains the many options available to independent schools. Please bring a laptop with you to this program. Applicable

Presenter: David Armenti, Maryland Historical Society
David Armenti is a History educator with extensive experience in using archival materials with students and developing social studies curriculum. Certified in secondary social studies education, Mr. Armenti has worked on the Legacy of Slavery project at the Maryland State Archives and has been the MdHS Student Research Coordinator for three years.
