This workshop will take place as scheduled.
Participants will learn about brain development of young adolescents, with specific emphasis on girls. We’ll also learn how the physical development of the brain affects learning as well as the social and emotional responses of middle school girls. Implications for curriculum development, extracurricular offerings, interactions with technology, as well as working effectively with parents will be discussed. Applicable Grades: 6-8.
Presenters: Mary Hopkins, Connelly School of the Holy Child
Mary Hopkins is the Assistant Head of School at Connelly School of the Holy Child. She has also served as a Middle School teacher as well as the Head of Middle School there.
Campus Location: Main Building, Billingsley Hall. Park in the Visitors Lot - participants can also park along the driveway.
