Integrative and interdisciplinary approaches have become of greatest importance in teaching/reaching the student. A hands-on nature/art oriented presentation teaches participants new strategies and techniques in applying educational subject matter in creating a painting. With a lively dialogue, questions and immediate answers, between the master artist and the participants, each stroke of the brush teaches a novel approach in painting an acrylic sunset on 11"x14" canvas. The object of the lesson is to enjoy learning and to transfer this method to others. Includes supplies.

Presenter(s): Ariadne Gejevski;

Ariadne has a Master's Degree in Art Education, Art Therapy, Diagnostic Prescriptive teaching and has taught art in Baltimore for 40 years. At Good Shepherd Center, she has had a great deal of success with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed girls between the ages of 13-21 because of her method in transferring and igniting the love of learning.
