This workshop will introduce classroom/tech/math teachers to the kinds of STEM activities that they can do using Microsoft's simple spreadsheet program Excel (most computers have it!), as well as the add-on called Cordoba. This hands-on class will provide participants with a finished lesson as a take-away.  Educators will learn why physical devices are powerful teaching tools, how Project Córdoba and Excel 2016 support STEM projects, and what resources are available to design content-based STEM lessons.  This training will explore resources through hands-on activities that will introduce educators to the principles of STEM lessons and give educators time to consider integrating a project into their classrooms.

The audience for this workshop is teachers for whom STEM education is relatively new, who are looking to implement lessons in their classrooms right away and who teach in grades 6-12 from a variety of settings and content areas.
