Student Internship Network

Our Story

Student Internship Network is a website that modernizes the high school internship process.  Their site, www.studentinternship.net, marries top tier high school students, interested in finding internships, with high quality businesses, that always have a need for some extra help.  However, what is now a fully functional business all started as an idea in a classroom.

At the beginning of senior year at the Bullis School, their team, Daniel Ramos, Sam Mininberg, Mason Melnick, and Camille Helmig, were paired up and told to come up with an idea for a business, and to put it into fruition.  After hearing a few crazy ideas during the brainstorming session, they finally decided on a website that offers internships for high school students.  Through an immense amount of research, thousands of emails, hundreds of phone calls, and hours of hard work, they finally had a finished product with over 50 internships and over 150 students, within a span of about 4 months.  They presented their product to students and faculty in the Bullis School Shark Tank, and got an overwhelming amount of positive feedback.  They even got a great email from their very own upper school principal, Robert Pollicino!

However, the whole process was an amazing learning experience, as they soon understood what it takes to become an entrepreneur.  With great mentors, Matt Melnick and Scott Copeland, as well as an amazing teacher, Marc Steren, they gained the skills needed to revolutionize the high school internship process.

Over the next year theyplan to increase our number of both internships and students, but they need your help!  If you believe you are able to support them in any way, please click here and sign up today!  If you have any questions or would like more information about how to get involved as a business, please email Daniel Ramos at daniel.ramos@studentinternship.net.  If you have any questions or would like more information about how to get involved as a student/school, please email Mason Melnick at mason.melnick@studentinternship.net.

They would like to thank you in advance for supporting their AIMS student business and taking the time to read their story.
